WISCONSIN — One person was killed and three others were seriously injured early Tuesday morning after a vehicle crashed into a tree on Madison’s near west side, according to the Madison Fire Department.
Emergency crews responded just after 12:30 a.m. to the 400 block of South Midvale Boulevard near Mineral Point Road. Authorities said a vehicle had struck a tree in the center median.
When crews arrived, one person was found trapped in front of the vehicle, while three others were outside the car. The trapped individual died from their injuries at the scene.
The three other occupants were transported to a hospital with serious injuries, officials said.
The crash remains under investigation by the Madison Police Department.
