One person dead after vehicle crashes into tree in Tennessee

TENNESSEE — One person is dead following a serious crash on Campbellsville Pike, according to the Maury County Fire Department.

Emergency crews responded to the 5000 block of Campbellsville Pike on Thursday after receiving reports of a truck that had crashed into a tree.

Upon arrival, responders found two individuals trapped inside the vehicle.

Firefighters worked to extricate both occupants. One of the victims was pronounced dead at the scene.

The condition of the second occupant has not been released.

The Maury County Sheriff’s Office, Maury County EMS, and the Tennessee Highway Patrol also responded. THP is currently investigating the cause of the crash.
