FLORIDA — Authorities are investigating a deadly crash and house fire that occurred Saturday morning in Apopka.
According to officials, the incident happened near the intersection of West Ella J. Gilmore Street and South Hawthorne Avenue.
Orange County Fire Rescue reported that a caller initially alerted dispatchers to a vehicle that had struck a residence. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after the call came in, just before 8 a.m.
The Florida Highway Patrol is also on scene and has confirmed that the crash is being investigated as fatal. It remains unclear how many people were involved or what led up to the crash.
Officials have not yet released the identity of the victim or additional details about the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities say more information will be released as it becomes available.
