FLORIDA — A 65-year-old Milton woman died Friday morning after her bicycle was struck by a pickup truck, the Florida Highway Patrol reported.
According to FHP, the crash occurred around 6 a.m. when a Toyota pickup truck driven by a 56-year-old man from Navarre was traveling west on U.S. Highway 90.
The woman was riding her bicycle near the intersection of Red Brick Road and attempted to cross the highway from south to north when she was struck.
FHP said the woman was not wearing reflective clothing or a helmet at the time of the crash. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation remains ongoing.
