INDIANA — A man was killed, and a woman was seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash late Monday night in Daleville, according to the Delaware County Sheriff’s Department.
Officials said the crash occurred in the 14600 block of W. Main Street (SR-32) when an SUV ran off the road.
The driver overcorrected, causing the vehicle to hit a utility pole and the Town of Daleville sign before coming to rest on its side.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene and pronounced the male passenger dead.
The female occupant was transported to a hospital in serious condition but is expected to recover.
The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) confirmed that all lanes of IN-32 were closed in both directions between Spring Street and Walnut Street following the crash.
Authorities have not yet released the name of the deceased.
The investigation is ongoing.
