KENTUCKY — An 87-year-old man from London was killed Monday night after being struck by two vehicles on US 25, the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office reported.

The crash occurred around 9:10 p.m. on Aug. 25, about six miles south of London.

Edward E. Queen entered the travel lane on foot in front of a northbound Ford Expedition driven by 45-year-old Kenneth Woods of London and was hit. A Hyundai Sonata, driven by 44-year-old Samantha Swift of Frankfort, then also struck Queen.

Queen was taken to St. Joseph Hospital in London, where he was pronounced dead by the Laurel County Coroner. Both Woods and Swift were uninjured.

US 25 was closed for approximately three hours while deputies conducted their investigation, which remains ongoing.
