OHIO — A man was killed Wednesday morning after being struck on Interstate 275 near Winton Road, according to the Hamilton County Coroner’s Office.
The incident occurred in the eastbound lanes around 5 a.m. Authorities have not yet released the identity of the victim.
Eastbound traffic on I-275 was shut down for nearly three hours as crews responded to the scene.
Lanes reopened just after 8 a.m., though traffic continued to be directed off at the Hamilton Avenue exit as the roadway slowly cleared.
It remains unclear why the man was in the roadway, how many vehicles were involved, or whether anyone else was injured.
The investigation is ongoing.
