
TENNESSEE — A pedestrian was killed early Sunday morning after being struck by a vehicle on Interstate 65 North near Rosa Parks Boulevard, according to authorities.
The Metro Nashville Police Department said the incident occurred when a male pedestrian was sitting in the middle of the interstate wearing dark-colored clothing. Police said the pedestrian was struck by a northbound Hyundai Sonata.
The driver of the vehicle, a 19-year-old, immediately stopped and remained at the scene, police said. No charges were immediately announced.
The pedestrian has not yet been identified. The Davidson County Medical Examiner’s Office is working to determine the identity of the victim.
The incident remains under investigation.
