One person dead after being struck by vehicle in South Carolina

SOUTH CAROLINA — A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle early Thursday morning on Highway 123 near Grace Drive, just outside of Easley.

The Pickens County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene around 4 a.m.

The identity of the victim has not yet been released.

According to the coroner, the South Carolina Highway Patrol is leading the investigation into the incident.

No further details have been made available at this time.
