SOUTH CAROLINA — A pedestrian struck by a vehicle Wednesday afternoon has died at a hospital, authorities said.
According to Lance Cpl. Brittany Glover of the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 2:18 p.m. at West Smith Avenue and Martin Street.
An unknown vehicle traveling south on West Smith Avenue hit the pedestrian, who later succumbed to injuries at the hospital. The victim’s identity has not yet been released.
The Highway Patrol continues to investigate the incident.
