
SOUTH CAROLINA — A pedestrian was killed early Monday morning after being struck by a vehicle in Horry County, according to authorities.
The crash happened around 4:22 a.m. on the 5820 on-ramp connecting Highway 707 to Highway 31, officials said.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, a 2018 Kia sedan was traveling north from Highway 707 toward Highway 31 when it hit a pedestrian who was walking in the roadway.
The driver of the Kia was not injured in the crash.
The identity of the pedestrian has not yet been released.
The incident remains under investigation.
