SOUTH CAROLINA — A woman was killed after being struck by a vehicle early Sunday morning in Greenville County, according to authorities.
The Greenville County Coroner’s Office said the crash happened just before 2:30 a.m. in the southbound lanes of Interstate 385 at Exit 42.
Officials said the incident involved a motor vehicle and a 29-year-old woman. Emergency crews with Greenville County Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and pronounced the pedestrian dead.
The woman’s name has not yet been released as officials work to notify next of kin.
Authorities said an examination is scheduled for Monday. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
The crash remains under investigation by the coroner’s office and the Greenville City Police Department.
