SOUTH CAROLINA — A pedestrian was killed Sunday night after being struck by a vehicle in Darlington County, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Master Trooper Joseph Rowell said the crash happened around 9:10 p.m. on South Fourth Street near Allen Road.
Authorities said a van traveling south on South Fourth Street hit a pedestrian who was walking along the roadway. The pedestrian died as a result of the crash.
The identity of the person who was killed has not been released.
No additional information about the driver or whether any charges will be filed has been provided.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash.
