SOUTH CAROLINA — One person was killed Friday evening after a vehicle struck a pedestrian on North Pleasantburg Drive, according to the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office.
The Greenville County Coroner’s Office said it was notified of the collision shortly before 7 p.m. When emergency crews arrived at the scene, lifesaving measures were attempted, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The coroner identified the victim as 57-year-old Eric Alan Debuysser.
Authorities said an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is ongoing. No additional details were released Friday night.
