
OHIO — A 61-year-old man died Monday night after being struck by a vehicle while crossing East Broad Street near Blacklick, according to the Columbus Division of Police.
The incident occurred just before 10:50 p.m. as a Toyota Camry was traveling eastbound on East Broad Street approaching Blacklick Crossing.
Police say Lance Eyster was attempting to cross the street at the time.
A witness told officers the Camry had a green light when it struck Eyster.
Eyster was transported to Mount Carmel East in critical condition and was pronounced dead at 11:23 p.m.
Police said the driver of the Camry remained at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
