OHIO — A 55-year-old man was struck and killed by a vehicle Saturday evening in Riverside, according to the Dayton Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the crash occurred around 7:40 p.m. on Harshman Road, just north of Arrowrock Avenue. A 2014 Volkswagen Jetta driven by a 33-year-old Dayton man was traveling north when it hit a pedestrian in the roadway.
The pedestrian, identified as Charles Sinkfield III of Dayton, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was not injured.
The crash remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
