OHIO — A 72-year-old woman died Thursday night after being struck by a vehicle that fled the scene, according to Fairfield Township police.
Officers were called to Tylersville Road around 9:08 p.m. for a report of an unresponsive woman in the roadway. When they arrived, they found the victim, identified as Digna Arribasplata, critically injured. She was later pronounced dead.
After gathering evidence at the scene, investigators believe the suspect vehicle is a Kia Forte GT, model year 2019 to 2024. Police say the vehicle is likely missing pieces from the front end and may also have side damage.
Authorities are asking anyone with information or who may have witnessed the crash to contact the Fairfield Township Police Department or submit tips through CrimeStoppers.
The investigation remains ongoing.
