
OHIO — Police are searching for a red Mitsubishi Lancer and several occupants after a pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash early Saturday in the Weinland Park neighborhood.
According to Columbus police, the incident occurred around 1:37 a.m. on November 2 when the vehicle was traveling west on East 11th Avenue near North 5th Street. Investigators said the car left the roadway and struck an adult pedestrian, who was not immediately identified.
The driver and five passengers reportedly fled the scene without providing help or contacting emergency services. The victim was later pronounced dead at a hospital, police said.
