OHIO — A pedestrian was killed early Sunday morning after being struck by a vehicle on the Northeast Side of Columbus.
The incident happened around 5:40 a.m. near the intersection of Maize and Morse roads.
According to Columbus police, the victim was transported to OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital, where they were later pronounced dead.
The driver involved in the crash did not remain at the scene, and authorities are treating the incident as a hit-and-run.
The identity of the pedestrian has not yet been released, pending notification of next of kin.
