NORTH CAROLINA — A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle early Saturday morning in Charlotte, according to officials.
Authorities said the crash occurred shortly after midnight near the 7700 block of Krefeld Drive in southeast Charlotte.
Officials with Mecklenburg EMS Agency (Medic) responded to the scene and pronounced the victim dead.
No additional details about the circumstances leading up to the crash were immediately released.
The investigation remains ongoing.
