NORTH CAROLINA — A man died after being struck by a vehicle Friday in Bennettsville, according to local officials.
Scotland County Public Safety Director Robert Sampson said the crash occurred along the 200 block of Highway 15-401. The man was hit by a car and later transported to a Scotland County hospital, where he died from his injuries.
Several community members reported that the man was riding a bicycle at the time he was struck, though authorities have not confirmed those details.
Bennettsville Police Chief Sammy Crosland said the fatal crash remains under investigation. No additional information has been released.
