KENTUCKY — A man was killed early Friday morning after being struck by a car near Valley Station, Louisville Metro police report.
Officers responded around 5 a.m. to the 12000 block of Dixie Highway following reports of a pedestrian hit by a vehicle. Upon arrival, police found the man had been fatally struck.
Witnesses said the man was riding an electric scooter northbound on Dixie Highway at the time of the crash.
The driver of the car stayed at the scene and cooperated with police. Authorities currently do not expect to file any charges.
Traffic was redirected for several hours but reopened around 8 a.m.
