KENTUCKY — A pedestrian died early Sunday morning after being struck by a truck near Iroquois Park, authorities said.
Louisville Metro Police responded around 3:20 a.m. to a report of a pedestrian hit at the intersection of Platka Road and Manslick Road.
Police said a pickup truck traveling north on St. Andrews Church Road struck the pedestrian as it entered the intersection, where the road becomes Platka and Manslick.
The pedestrian, who was wearing all dark clothing, reportedly disregarded the crosswalk while attempting to cross Manslick Road westbound.
The truck driver remained at the scene until first responders arrived. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
