KENTUCKY — A man died Saturday evening after being struck by an SUV in Elizabethtown, according to police.
Chris Denham, a spokesperson for the Elizabethtown Police Department, said officers responded just before 9 p.m. to a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle in the 1000 block of North Dixie Avenue.
Police said an SUV struck a man who was walking in the lane of travel at the time of the crash. First responders arrived on scene and provided assistance, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
No additional information about the driver or circumstances leading up to the crash has been released. The incident remains under investigation by Elizabethtown police.
