
INDIANA — A man was struck and killed by a vehicle early Saturday on the city’s far east side, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
Officers responded just after 6 a.m. to a report of a pedestrian hit near the Motel 6 on Shadeland Avenue, just south of 38th Street. When they arrived, they found the victim in the roadway. He died before he could be transported to a hospital.
Police said the driver involved remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
The crash remains under investigation.
