
INDIANA — A person is dead after being struck by a vehicle Saturday night in Clark County, Indiana.
According to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a report of a pedestrian hit on U.S. Route 31 at Coopers Lane in Clarksville around 6:40 p.m.
Authorities said the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s identity has not been released.
U.S. 31 between Progress Way and Coopers Lane was closed Saturday night as investigators worked the scene.
The Indiana State Police also responded and are assisting with crash scene reconstruction, officials said.
The driver involved in the crash is cooperating with investigators. The incident remains under investigation.
