GEORGIA — A truck driver was killed in a hit-and-run early Tuesday morning following a crash on Interstate 75 northbound, according to Marietta police.
The incident occurred past S.R. 120/N Marietta Parkway (exit 264) after two tractor-trailers were involved in a collision.
Police said both drivers got out of their vehicles, and one was struck by a passing passenger car. The driver of that car did not stop.
The Georgia Department of Transportation reported that several lanes were blocked while police and emergency crews worked at the scene. All lanes reopened shortly before 5:30 a.m.
The victim’s identity has not been released. Authorities said additional information will be provided as the investigation continues.
