GEORGIA — Police in DeKalb County are investigating a fatal crash that claimed the life of a woman early Tuesday morning.
According to the DeKalb County Police Department, officers were called to Turner Hill Road near Mall Parkway just before 5:30 a.m. after receiving reports that a pedestrian had been struck.
When officers arrived, they found a woman who had been hit by a pickup truck in the northbound lanes. The woman, whose age and identity have not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said the driver of the pickup truck remained at the scene and was not injured. Investigators are continuing to work to determine the cause of the crash.
