GEORGIA — A pedestrian was killed Tuesday night in a collision in Savannah, according to authorities.
Chatham County Police said the crash occurred around 11 p.m. on President Street between Riverview Drive and Capital Street.
Emergency crews responded to the scene, and traffic on President Street was shut down in both directions for nearly two hours while investigators worked. The roadway has since reopened.
Georgia State Patrol is now leading the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision. No additional details about the victim or the vehicle involved have been released.
