FLORIDA — The Florida Highway Patrol is searching for a driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run that killed a man in a wheelchair Sunday night.
Troopers said the incident occurred just before 9 p.m. at the intersection of Semoran Boulevard and Colonial Drive. A 48-year-old man was crossing Semoran Boulevard outside of a marked crosswalk when he was struck by a vehicle.
The driver did not stop and fled the scene, authorities said. The victim was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Witnesses told troopers the vehicle involved was a dark-colored sedan.
