FLORIDA — One person was killed Tuesday night after being struck by a vehicle at a busy Fort Myers intersection, authorities said.
The crash happened around 10:42 p.m. at the intersection of Colonial Boulevard and Ford Street, just east of Metro Parkway.
Fort Myers police confirmed that a pedestrian died after being hit by a vehicle. Officials have not yet released the identity of the victim.
Authorities maintained a heavy presence in the area following the crash as officers investigated the scene. It remains unclear what led up to the incident or whether any additional vehicles were involved.
Police have not said whether any charges will be filed.
