One person dead after being struck by vehicle in Alabama

ALABAMA — One pedestrian is dead and another seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle Saturday night, according to the Montgomery Police Department.

Police and fire medics responded to a crash just before 8:45 p.m. on the service road in the 900 block of East South Boulevard. The incident involved two vehicles and two pedestrians.

One pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The second was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The identities of the victims have not been released. The crash remains under investigation.
