
ALABAMA — A Colorado woman was killed Monday night after being struck by a vehicle in Huntsville, according to police.
The Huntsville Police Department said the incident occurred around 6 p.m. in the area of Mountain Gap Road and Hillwood Drive.
Police identified the victim as Martha Miller, 70. Investigators said Miller was crossing Mountain Gap Road outside of a marked crosswalk when she was hit by a car traveling along the roadway. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and suffered minor injuries, police said. Authorities noted the driver did not show any signs of impairment and voluntarily agreed to toxicology testing.
The crash remains under investigation, and no additional details were immediately released.
