
SOUTH CAROLINA — A 71-year-old Easley man has died after being struck by a train last week, according to the coroner.
The Pickens County Coroner’s Office said emergency medical services, firefighters, and police were called Jan. 24 to the train tracks near Allen Street in Easley after a report of a person being hit by a train.
The man was transported to a hospital, where he later died on Jan. 27, officials said.
The victim was identified as Gary Knight Sr., 71, of Easley. The coroner’s office said Knight died from complications of multiple blunt force injuries.
No additional details were released.
