One person dead after being struck by semi-truck in Indiana

INDIANA — A woman was killed early Wednesday morning after being struck by a semi-truck on U.S. 30 in Warsaw.

According to the Warsaw Police Department, emergency crews responded to the scene at 3:10 a.m. in the westbound lanes of U.S. 30 near Old Road 30 following reports of a pedestrian being hit.

Investigators determined that the woman had crossed into the path of the semi. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities have not yet released the victim’s identity. The incident remains under investigation.

No other information has been released at this time.
