TENNESSEE — A 20-year-old woman from Nashville was killed Friday evening after being struck by two vehicles on Bell Road, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department.
Police said the crash occurred at approximately 5:40 p.m. in the 600 block of Bell Road. A preliminary investigation determined that the woman was walking in a continuous left-turn lane when she was struck by a northbound Nissan Versa that was turning left onto Rice Road.
Authorities said the impact caused the pedestrian to be thrown into a lane of travel, where she was then hit by a second vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Both drivers involved in the incident remained at the scene and showed no signs of impairment, police said.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing, and no additional details were released.
