OHIO — A person was struck and killed by vehicles on Interstate 271 southbound early Wednesday morning, according to authorities.
The Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office reported that Macedonia Police discovered the body on I-271 southbound, just south of I-480, around 3:40 a.m. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials have not yet identified the individual, and an update will be provided once next of kin have been notified.
The highway remained closed for several hours as police investigated, reopening around 7:30 a.m.
