GEORGIA — A pedestrian was killed Saturday morning after being struck by a FedEx truck in DeKalb County, according to police.
The crash happened around 11:15 a.m. near Northlake Parkway and Crescent Center Boulevard. DeKalb police said preliminary findings indicate the individual was walking across a private Target driveway when they were hit by a FedEx truck that was attempting to turn onto Northlake Parkway.
Authorities said the driver of the truck remained at the scene following the collision and cooperated with investigators.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity has not yet been released, pending notification of next of kin.
Police said the incident remains under investigation.
