
OHIO — A snowplow company employee was killed Sunday morning after being run over by a snowplow while working in Dayton, authorities said.
According to the Montgomery County Regional Dispatch, the pedestrian-versus-vehicle crash occurred around 11:30 a.m. in the 600 block of St. Paul Avenue. Officials said the incident happened while a private snowplow company was clearing a private parking lot.
Dayton Police Department Police Information Specialist James Rider said the snowplow was backing up when it struck and ran over an employee of the company. The man was transported by medics to a nearby hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
The victim’s identity has not been released. The crash remains under active investigation by the Dayton Police Department’s Traffic Services Unit.
