One person dead after becoming trapped under vehicle in Ohio

OHIO — A 52-year-old Arcanum man died Tuesday night after being trapped beneath a vehicle he was working on in his garage, according to the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were dispatched to the 8000 block of State Route 722 following reports of a man pinned under a vehicle.

The preliminary investigation found that Mark Angle had been working underneath a vehicle that was supported by blocks when it slipped and fell on top of him.

A family member later discovered Angle, jacked up the vehicle, and pulled him out. Despite the effort, Angle succumbed to his injuries.

The Darke County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene. The death is being ruled accidental.
