SOUTH CAROLINA — A 22-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder following a reported shooting at a convenience store in Georgetown County, authorities said.
Sheriff Carter Weaver announced Sunday the arrest of Harry Oxner Jr., who is accused of firing a shot at another man during an altercation at Joe’s Quick Mart, located at the intersection of South Fraser Street and Pennyroyal Road.
According to investigators, the incident stemmed from a dispute over a gasoline spill at the store’s pumps.
The victim told deputies that Oxner fired a single shot into the driver’s side door of his vehicle following the argument.
No injuries were reported.
Oxner was taken into custody and transported to the Georgetown County Detention Center, where he is being held pending the issuance of warrants.
