One person carjacked at gunpoint in Pennsylvania, investigation underway

PENNSYLVANIA — Police are asking for the public’s help in an armed carjacking investigation that happened Thursday afternoon near the Greentree Shopping Center.

According to the Scott Township Police Department, the incident occurred shortly before 1:20 p.m. on Greentree Road.

Investigators said a driver was ordered out of his vehicle at gunpoint while stopped at a traffic light. The suspects then fled in the victim’s silver Jaguar sedan with New York license plate LTF1280.

Police believe at least four men were involved in the carjacking. All were described as Black males wearing face coverings. A white and black Dodge Durango was also used during the crime.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Arlet at 412-276-7725 ext. 242 or Detective Samangy at 412-276-7725 ext. 284. Authorities caution the public not to approach the suspects or the stolen vehicles, but to call 911 immediately if spotted.
