TENNESSEE — A 23-year-old convicted felon, Christopher Watson, was arrested this week after allegedly fleeing from police during two separate traffic stops.
Metro Police report that Watson’s vehicle was disabled Wednesday morning on Century Farms Boulevard, after which he attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended.
Upon his arrest, officers discovered a significant amount of illegal substances in his possession.
Those discoveries include 25 grams of crack cocaine, 23 grams of methamphetamine, 9 grams of powder fentanyl, 120 fentanyl pills, Xanax, marijuana, and a loaded handgun. Additionally, Watson had more than $2,300 in cash.
Watson, who was convicted in 2023 for selling fentanyl, now faces multiple charges.
Those charges include five counts of drug possession, three counts of evading arrest, felon in possession of a weapon, felony weapon possession, drug paraphernalia, and resisting arrest.
He has been booked on a $137,000 bond.
