INDIANA — An Evansville woman was taken into custody Thursday following a month-long undercover investigation into suspected methamphetamine sales at an apartment on the city’s east side.
According to authorities, 43-year-old Tiffany Boyd was arrested on March 5 after the Evansville SWAT team executed a search warrant at her residence on East Virginia Street.
Court documents state the Evansville-Vanderburgh County Drug Task Force conducted three undercover “buy/walk” operations between January and March as part of the investigation. During those operations, investigators said Boyd was recorded on video weighing and packaging methamphetamine while sitting on an air mattress inside the apartment.
When officers carried out the search warrant, nine people were found inside the approximately 700-square-foot apartment. Police reported recovering 301 grams of synthetic cannabinoids along with more than $1,000 in cash from Boyd’s belongings.
Authorities said six people were arrested during the raid.
Boyd faces several felony charges, including dealing a Schedule I, II, or III controlled substance as a Level 2 felony, three counts of dealing methamphetamine as Level 4 felonies, and maintaining a common nuisance as a Level 6 felony.
The investigation remains ongoing.
