One person arrested on drug charges following Ohio traffic stop

OHIO — A routine traffic stop in Huntsville Thursday evening resulted in the arrest of a passenger for possession of drug paraphernalia, according to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies stopped a Dodge Dakota around 7:00 p.m. after the vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign and did not use a turn signal.

During the stop, both the driver, Michael Vogler, and the passenger, Jeremy Johnson, appeared overly nervous, prompting deputies to ask them to step out for further questioning.

After Vogler consented to a vehicle search, deputies discovered a glass bubble pipe in the glove box on the passenger side.

The pipe is commonly used to smoke methamphetamine.

Johnson admitted the pipe belonged to him and said it had been used for meth. He was arrested and taken to the Logan County Jail on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Vogler received a verbal warning for the traffic violations and was released at the scene.
