PENNSYLVANIA — The Northern York County Regional Police have filed charges against a 44-year-old man in connection with an alleged drug delivery that authorities say led to an overdose death in York County.
According to court documents, the victim was found dead on Oct. 9, 2025, inside a bathroom. Investigators reported locating a bag containing a white powder and a straw near the victim at the scene. A subsequent coroner’s investigation determined the substance contained fentanyl.
The victim’s parents told investigators that shortly before his death, their son said he planned to meet a woman he had been communicating with nearby. They said he was gone for approximately 10 minutes, and his mother later discovered him unresponsive after he returned home.
After seizing the victim’s phone, investigators said they found messages in which the victim allegedly asked Erick Eller, 44, for a “bump,” a slang term for a small amount of an inhaled drug. Detective Tanner Tyson of the York County Drug Task Force said Eller had allegedly been in contact with the victim for more than a year, with conversations that included multiple drug transactions.
Investigators later determined that Eller’s phone was in the same location as the victim’s around the time of the incident, which led to the issuance of an arrest warrant.
Eller was arrested and charged with drug delivery resulting in death and manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to deliver. He is currently out on bail and awaiting trial.
