OHIO — U.S. Marshals have arrested a suspect in connection with a March shooting that injured three people at a crowded Akron bar, police announced Tuesday.

The shooting occurred in the early morning hours of March 10 at the Field House Lounge, located in the 300 block of Paul Williams Street.

According to Akron police, 22-year-old Jakel Blackwell has been charged with felonious assault, having weapons under disability, and carrying a concealed weapon.

Authorities said off-duty uniformed officers working security at the lounge heard gunfire and called for backup.

A fight reportedly broke out during the event, and the gunman fired multiple shots, hitting three individuals.

The bar had been hosting a concert that night featuring rapper Torence “Boosie” Ivy Hatch Jr.

The arrest follows a months-long investigation.
