MISSISSIPPI — A man has been arrested in connection with a string of church burglaries in Nettleton, according to police.
Officers said Justin McCaine was taken into custody on Saturday and charged with two counts of commercial burglary.
The break-ins occurred at South Nettleton Baptist Church, Bethel Baptist Church, Nettleton Church of Christ, and Cross Pointe Fellowship. Investigators said McCaine allegedly used a crowbar to force his way into the churches, specifically targeting office areas.
Police reported that about $300 was stolen from two of the churches.
The investigation is ongoing.
