INDIANA — A Gary, Indiana man has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with a fatal shooting last summer on Interstate 94 near Chicago’s Bridgeport neighborhood.
Herman Yancey, 37, was arrested Friday and charged in the June 7, 2024, shooting that left one man dead, according to Illinois State Police.
The shooting occurred around 10 p.m. in the northbound lanes of I-94 near 37th Street.
The victim, identified as Tywuan Donald by the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office, was pronounced dead at the scene.
No additional details have been released as the investigation continues.
