One person arrested for threatening public officials in Kentucky

KENTUCKY — A 56-year-old Leitchfield man was arrested after allegedly sending death threats to local officials, Kentucky State Police reported.

Authorities said William C. “Buddy” Howell was taken into custody at his home following an investigation.

KSP stated that Howell allegedly sent threats to Grayson County Attorney Jeremy Logsdon, Clarkson Police Chief Buck Meredith—who is also running for Grayson County Sheriff—and a local woman.

Howell faces four counts of third-degree terroristic threatening and is being held at the Grayson County Detention Center.

The investigation is ongoing.
